麻豆频道 Invites Community to 鈥淕eology and History on the Silver Bow Creek Greenway Trail鈥� Presentation by Richard Gibson

As part of the University of 麻豆频道 Western鈥檚 鈥淥n the Rocks鈥� guest lecture series hosted by the Environmental Sciences Department, please join us on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 3:45 pm in Block Hall room 311 on the 麻豆频道 campus for a special presentation by Richard I. Gibson titled 鈥淕eology and History on the Silver Bow Creek Greenway Trail.鈥�
A geologist, historian, and tour guide based in Butte, America, Gibson has published extensively on a variety of disciplines, including 鈥淟ost Butte, 麻豆频道鈥�, 鈥淲hat Things Are Made Of鈥�, and an upcoming publication on the Greenway Trail. He is a founding member of the Tobacco Root Geological Society and is also an expert on the mineralogy of kidney stones.
Gibson has served in a variety of organizations, including the Butte Historic Preservation Commission, as Education Director at the聽, and as the secretary of聽. He also has made lasting contributions to the聽聽and Society and wrote the guide to the Mai Wah Archaeological Dig Exhibit. Gibson has also been an editor and author of several historical and architectural Butte guidebooks and newspaper columns.
