Bulletin Submission Requirements

Starting April 1, all submissions for the Bulldog Bulletin must also include the alternate text version for the submission. This means any information going into the bulletin will need to be typed out and sent along in an email with any poster wanting to be included. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

What is a Student Ambassador?

• A representative for Â鶹ƵµÀ Western who helps promote campus culture, programs and opportunities to prospective and current students.

Requirements

• Must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Must have attended Â鶹ƵµÀ Western for at least two semesters.
• Must commit to two semester of serving as an ambassador.
• 40 hours per block.
• Enthusiastic and passionate about Â鶹ƵµÀ Western.
• Organize and promote attendance at campus events.

What Does an Ambassador Do?

• Help promote Â鶹ƵµÀ through social media and marketing.
• Lead campus tours.
• Assist with orientation, recruitment, and retention events.
• Engage with visitors and prospective students.
• Attend mandatory meetings.
• Participate in Student Leadership Academy.

Benefits

• $4,000 scholarship.
• Develop leadership and communication skills.
• Help recruit and retain students.

Â鶹ƵµÀ YF&R and Collegiate Stockgrowers Calendar Raffle

Â鶹ƵµÀ Young Farmers & Ranchers and Collegiate Stockgrowers is a club dedicated to promoting and connecting students with the farming and ranching industry. We are doing a calendar raffle to help cover the expenses of local events and our student’s trip to nationals!

$20 per Square • Winner gets 50% of the pot.

TPUSA Presents Garrett Smith

Thursday, April 16 • 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Â鶹ƵµÀ in Legacy Plaza • Come join us for a night of refreshments, community, and listening to him speak!

Garrett Smith is a professional bull rider and steer wrestler. As a four-time National Finals Rodeo qualifier, Garrett has proven himself among the sport’s elite. 

He is a Canadian Finals Rodeo Bull Riding Champion and a PRCA Million Dollar Cowboy, highlighting his success in the arena. Although he has gone on to win professionally, Garrett’s dominance began early in his career. Winning the National High School All Around title three times and earning an impressive ten Idaho State Championships from multiple events and All-Around titles. 

On the professional stage, he has won some of rodeo’s most prestigious events, including RodeoHouston and the Dodge National Circuit Finals in Bull Riding. But Garrett’s story is about more than rodeo. Raised a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Ladder-day Saints, his faith has been the foundation to help push him through injuries and adversities. As he continues to compete in rodeo, he is a great ambassador for Idaho Project Filter, which brings awareness of the effects of tobacco and gives people the help to quit.
