Dr. Andrew R. Fields

Dr. Andrew R. Fields is a visionary, student-centered leader with over 25 years of higher education experience, currently serving as the CEO of the University of Idaho Coeur d’Alene. A “systems-thinking” executive, Dr. Fields has a proven track record of navigating complex state university systems and fostering collaborative environments that drive regional economic impact and institutional growth. His leadership is uniquely characterized by a blend of high-level academic and technical expertise, holding a Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Educational Administration and Leadership, an MBA in Executive Leadership, and credentials in vocational fields including Welding and Industrial Technology. Having championed immersive, experiential learning modalities throughout his career at institutions such as Stanford University and Shasta College, he is a dedicated advocate for models that prioritize intensive student-faculty engagement and hands-on delivery. Beyond his academic work, Dr. Fields is a seasoned architect and accomplished steward of fiscal operations and public-private partnerships, having secured millions in state funding and successfully managed large-scale capital projects. His extensive experience working with state boards, legislators, and community partners positions him as a strategic leader, prepared to advance a mission of transformative, workforce-aligned education. Beyond the office, he and his family are passionate about the mountain lifestyle, enjoying biking, skiing, and hiking together.
Dr. Craig M. Chatriand

Craig Chatriand has served as Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho, for the past four years. During his tenure, the university has experienced sustained enrollment growth along with notable gains in student success and retention. Chatriand joined Idaho State University in 2020 as Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students. Over the course of his career, he has held a variety of leadership roles focused on advancing student success, including positions in student conduct, residence life, and academic support services. Chatriand earned his bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from the University of Â鶹ƵµÀ Western and his master’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado. He later completed his doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Iowa State University. A native of Butte, Â鶹ƵµÀ, Chatriand enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring the natural landscapes of Â鶹ƵµÀ and Idaho.
Dr. Estee Aiken

Dr. Estee Aiken is an educator and academic leader with two and a half decades of experience as a K-12 educator, professor, and administrator. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music, a Master of Arts in Teaching Elementary School, and a Doctorate of Education in Educational Studies. Dr. Aiken’s scholarship has focused on gifted and talented education, early childhood, and high-leverage practices in teacher preparation. Dr. Aiken has been at the University of Â鶹ƵµÀ Western for the past fifteen years, first serving as a faculty member (earning the rank of tenured, full professor), then serving as the Dean of Strategic Initiatives, overseeing university accreditation, strategic planning, workforce efforts, and dual enrollment. She currently serves as the Interim Provost and Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, where she works to advance the academic mission of the University of Â鶹ƵµÀ Western. Dr. Aiken has been a school board trustee, and continues to serve on several education-related boards. Beyond work, she enjoys spending time with her family and getting outside as much as possible.
