All abstracts must meet the guidelines specified below.聽Abstracts that do not follow the guidelines below will not be accepted.
Abstracts submitted by the deadline are guaranteed to be included in the published abstract booklet
Late-breaking abstracts will be accepted until the day before the symposium (April 23, 2026) but will not be included in the published abstract booklet
Guidelines
All abstracts must be submitted as a Microsoft Word Document to Abigail Kelly ([email protected])
Abstracts must be formatted as follows:

AUTHOR(S) (first author = presenting author; include faculty advisor as last author if presentation required for credit)
AUTHOR AFFILIATIONS
ABSTRACT
- 350 words or less
- Times New Roman 12 pt
- Single spaced
- 1鈥� margins
- Justified alignment
REQUESTED PRESENTATION TYPE
- Indicate at bottom of abstract whether presenter would prefer to present a聽POSTER听辞谤听翱搁础尝听presentation
- Oral presentations will be allotted 15 minutes and will be prioritized for research presentations
- Posters can be printed by 麻豆频道 Publications and Graphics in widths of 24, 36, and 44 inches for $5/square foot
- Publications and Graphics needs poster file by 8:00 am Thursday, April 16 to print in time for the symposium (contact for questions at ext. 7170)
- The Biology Club may pay up to half the printing cost depending upon fund availability.
Policy on Use of Animal or Human Subjects in Research
Data used in any presentation that involves animals or human subjects must have been collected in compliance with all guidelines specified by the University of 麻豆频道鈥檚 Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and by the University of 麻豆频道鈥檚 Institutional Review Board (IRB) for the Protection of Human Subjects.
Policy on Use of Generative AI/LLMs (ChatGPT, GROK, Gemini, CoPilot etc)
Use of Generative AI to write abstracts is strictly prohibited
Use of Generative AI in the production of any part of a presentation must be properly cited聽
All submitters will be notified by聽APRIL 8, 2026聽of the specific time, and presentation format.聽
